A Brief Introduction to China Beijing International High-Tech Expo (CHITEC)
Founded in 1998, CHITEC is a state-level comprehensive international science and technology exposition approved by China’s State Council, held annually on a regular basis in May in Beijing. Combining exhibition, forums and summit conferences, and trade talks into one, and taking linkage and interaction as the basic pattern, CHITEC has rallied a large number of loyal exhibitors, buyers and spectators and become a landmark platform for industrial cooperation which has attracted world attention by showing the latest scientific and technological achievements, disseminating the forefront ideas, publishing industrial policy information and promoting international economic and technology cooperation, 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities gathered together at the CHITEC for eleven consecutive years. More than 70 overseas delegations participated in the 18th CHITEC, released thousands of projects of industrial cooperation and promotion of scientific and technological achievements, and attracted thousands of domestic and foreign businessmen.
