Driving Sustainable Mobility at the Nordic Africa EV Summit 2026
Africa’s electric mobility transition is moving forward at an unprecedented pace. From 14 – 16 September 2026, we are organizing the Nordic Africa EV Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, a groundbreaking event convening decision-makers, industry pioneers, financiers, and innovators across the Nordics, Europe, and Africa.
The central mission of the summit is to address a crucial question: How can we turn growing momentum into scalable, commercialized, and resilient transport systems across Africa?
Building a sustainable EV ecosystem requires an end-to-end approach. True progress depends not only on vehicle deployment, but on robust charging infrastructure, off-grid storage integration, green financing models, and smart policy frameworks. Crucially, it demands a strong commitment to circular economy principles, from responsible critical mineral supply chains to battery repurposing, recycling, and full lifecycle management.
The Nordics have pioneered clean tech, power grid resilience, and battery innovation, while African markets are rapidly scaling urban e-mobility, public transport, and regional freight corridors. By bridging Nordic expertise and Finnish technology leadership with Africa’s dynamic market growth, we can build cross-border partnerships that drive long-term business value and sustainable growth on the road to COP32 happening in Addis Ababa on 2027.
We look forward to exchanging insights, fostering new trade opportunities, and working alongside key stakeholders who are shaping the future of global mobility.
