The main purpose of the The Finnish-Arabic Business Association is to promote trade and other commercial relations between Finland and Arab countries. The target is to get more Finnish companies interested in the business opportunities these countries offer.

The Finnish-Arabic Business Association was founded in 1998. The members of the Association consist of Finnish companies and businessmen having business interests in Arab countries. Big Finnish manufacturers of investment and consumer goods, producers of paper, metals and chemicals, providers of banking, financing, logistics, engineering and other services as well as importers of consumer goods are presented among the members.

Annual membership fee is 200 € for corporate members, 50 € for individual members and 25 € for student members.

The Finnish-Arabic Business Association is a registered association in Finland but, like most of the trade associations in Finland, is an independent body without official status. All the activities are based on voluntary work of members and the operation costs are covered by a membership fee. You can find the names of the board members from the link on left.

The normal way of working is to organize luncheon meetings, to which guest speakers are invited to introduce subjects related to a specific Arab country or the whole area followed by free discussion on the subject. The guest speakers have been ambassadors or commercial counselors of Arab countries accredited in Finland, Finnish embassy people accredited in Arab countries, representatives of various ministries, university professors and business people. During the meetings the members share their practical business experiences. The Finnish-Arabic Trade Association hosts annually an Ambassadors’ meeting, during which the members of the trade association have a good opportunity to meet with the Finnish Ambassadors of the represented Arabic countries.
