The Finland-Japan Chamber of Commerce is organizing a webinar to discuss Japan’s economic recovery from COVID-19 in 2020, and the economic outlook for 2021.

We are honored to hear from Mr Naritaka NAKAISHI, the Director-General of Japan External Trade organization (JETRO) London office since July 2020. Mr. NAKAISHI will give an update on the current economic situation in Japan, on the political agenda, as well as the improvement of business environment, business opportunities with Japan and JETRO support for Finnish companies.

Mr. Naritaka NAKAISHI
Naritaka NAKAISHI is the Director-General of Japan External Trade organization (JETRO) London office since July 2020. He is responsible for overseeing all the JETRO activities in Europe.

After graduating from University of Tokyo in 1989, he joined the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). He has had several assignments such as Deputy Director-General of Economic and Industrial Policy Bureau, Director of Policy Evaluation and Public Relations Division, Minister’s Secretariat, and other key bureaus.

He has also worked as Director, Member of the board of Regional Economy Vitalization Corporation (REVIC), Director of HQ for Japan’s Economic Revitalization at Cabinet Secretariat and Executive Director of JETRO New York. He holds a Master of International Affairs from University of Pittsburgh.
