FIME, EK, Finpro and Finland Chamber of Commerce have the pleasure of inviting you to

IRAN – Seminar on economy and prospects for trade and doing business

On Friday, November 13, 2015, 10:00–13:00 hrs
In Finpro auditorium, Porkkalankatu 1, Ruoholahti, Helsinki

Iran is world’s 18th largest economy with a young, educated population of almost 80 million and immense resources of natural gas, oil and minerals. Lifting of EU sanctions and suspension of US sanctions would mean that Iran’s 415 billion USD economy is returning to be part of the global economy. Iran is probably the last big and relatively untapped emerging market opening for western businesses with significant possibilities for fast growth. Iran offers opportunities for companies in sectors such as cleantech – especially energy efficiency, the environment and water management; agriculture & food products; medicines and healthcare technologies; manufacturing, logistics, consumer goods and ICT.

Seminar speakers:

Welcoming words by Mr. Matti Anttonen, Under-secretary of State, External Economic Relations, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland

Opening words by H.E. Mr. Kambiz Jalali, Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran to Finland

Keynote address Dr. Ahmad Jamali, General Director of Investment of Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance of Iran
