Why it matters

IMC’s 2025 edition in Marrakech drew over 650 attendees, 82 speakers and 74 exhibitors from 40+ countries, and produced the landmark Marrakech Declaration on responsible mining. For 2026 the Congress moves to the capital, Rabat, for the first time.

Morocco offers a compelling story for your companies: 15th globally in the Fraser Institute’s 2025 mining attractiveness index; around three quarters of the world’s known phosphate reserves; significant production of cobalt, copper, zinc, lead, gold and more; a plan to double non-phosphate mining revenue to over $1.7 billion by 2030; and a fast-growing battery-minerals industry feeding gigafactories in Kenitra and Tangier.
