Business relations between Finland and Morocco have strengthened considerably over the past two years, with high-level visits contributing to the opening of new avenues for cooperation: In joint press statement signed between Valtonen and Bourita, the two Ministers of Foreign Affairs “reaffirmed their strong resolve to strengthen economic and trade relations between the two countries to reach their full potential and recognized Morocco’s key position as a gateway between Africa and Europe”

On 11 December 2024, FIFA confirmed that the 2030 World Cup will be jointly hosted by Morocco, Portugal, and Spain. This decision is expected to catalyze business activity across a wide range of sectors.

Digitalization—particularly cybersecurity, the development of secure 5G networks, and ICT infrastructure and services—has been identified as a key priority in bilateral cooperation.

Thank you  H.E. Mr Mohamed Achgalou, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Morocco for a fruitful meeting with Ambassador Anu Saxén, Ms Sarah Laaru and Ms Anne Hatanpää representatives of the Africa Business Network of the Finland Chamber of Commerce.
