Annual Meeting of the Finland-Lithuania Business Association
Finland-Lithuania Business Association held its Annual Meeting at Berner Ltd in Helsinki on the 22nd of April 2025.
Mr. Antti Korpiniemi, CEO of Berner Ltd, delivered an insightful presentation on the company’s operations which sparked a lively and engaging discussion.
Berner Ltd is a Finnish family-owned enterprise founded in 1883. It operates across four key business sectors: consumer goods, healthcare and laboratories, industrial products, and agricultural trade. The company has a strong presence not only in Finland but also through subsidiaries in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and the Baltic countries.
Berner’s story began in the 1880s, when a young Norwegian entrepreneur, Sören Berner, arrived in Helsinki—then a modest town of 40,000—to explore new business opportunities. He soon established a venture by importing herring directly from Stavanger to Helsinki, laying the foundation for what would become a long-standing business legacy. Read more about the company here.
We’re also pleased to report that the Annual Meeting was a great success, culminating in the appointment of a new board of directors.
