Time: November 30, at 14:00 (Finnish time)
Place: Online (on the embassies’ social media accounts)

On behalf of the Embassy of Brazil to Finland, I would like to invite you to watch the Brazil-Finland Seminar on 6G Network Development, which will be held on November 30, at 14:00 (FI time). The seminar is organised with the valuable support of the Embassy of Finland to Brazil and Business Finland Sao Paulo.

Sixth-generation technology will be disruptive and will require consistent, long-term government support. Brazil is one of the pioneers in the field of 6G research and participates alongside Finland in the “6G Flagship Project”.

However, what are the potential applications of 6G? What is the importance of being at the forefront of research? Are there any policies that should be implemented in order to facilitate the development of this technology by Brazilian and Finnish R&D institutions?

There will be a debate on these and other questions during the online event on November 30, when five experts will discuss the development, challenges and future of 6G in Finland and Brazil:

  • Director of 6G Flagship Finland, Professor Matti Latva-aho (University of Oulu);
  • Professor Luciano Leonel Mendes (Brazilian National Institute of Telecommunications – Inatel);
  • Professor Rodrigo Porto (Federal University of Ceará – UFC);
  • Secretary of Entrepreneurship and Innovation José Gontijo (Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation);
  • Deputy Director General Petri Lehikoinen (Finnish Transport and Communications Agency – Traficom).

It is possible to follow the seminar on social media accounts owned by the Brazilian Embassy in Helsinki, as well as those owned by the Finnish Embassy in Brasilia:
