Business Finland’s Work in Finland unit is organizing a Talent Boost trade mission to Brazil with the primary goal of attracting Brazilian talents to work in Finland. The initiative also aims to boost Finland’s image as an appealing destination for immigration based on work, study, and startup opportunities.

This visit presents an excellent opportunity for Finnish companies and institutions to forge high-level connections with Brazilian partners. Additionally, it provides a chance to engage with highly skilled tech professionals and startups in Brazil. One noteworthy aspect of the itinerary is participation in Web Summit Rio, the foremost Tech and innovation summit in Latin America.

Web Summit Rio is a pivotal platform for companies to enhance their employer brand and directly interact with local professional’s keen on working in Finland. In the 2023 edition, the event attracted an impressive crowd of over 21,000 attendees, including 506 investors, representing 91 countries. Notable countries included Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Denmark, Germany, and, Finland. The #FinlandWorks booth garnered substantial attention, attracting over 2,000 visitors, predominantly from the ICT sector. Finland’s media outreach extended to over 15 local media outlets.

This year Web Summit organizers anticipate a significant expansion, projecting an attendance of over 30,000 participants, solidifying its status as one of the largest events in the region.
