We are happy to announce that LTG Infra, the company responsible for the implementation of the Rail Baltica project in Lithuania, launched a new tendering procedure to select companies matching qualification requirements to build the railway embankment, construct engineering structures and access roads on the railway section between Kaunas and the Lithuanian-Latvian border. The estimated value of contract works – about EUR 1,050 billion excluding VAT. Please find the link to the procurement and the documents – Procurement no. 21708 of contracting works for the project “construction of the Rail Baltica line on the section Kaunas-Panevėžys-lt/lv (Phase i): construction of a new double track embankment, engineering structures and roads”. The new procurement was announced because most of the value of the previous tender, as launched in June 2020, has been used.
Major procurements for the Rail Baltica construction works and construction supervision services are conducted using a dynamic purchasing system (DPS). The DPS functions in such a way that in its first stage a group of tenderers matching qualification requirements is formed, which is open throughout the DPS period (with an extension for 60 months) to any company whose qualification and documentation meet the set requirements. In case of the need for a specific procurement, companies that have passed the first stage are invited to participate in the second stage and submit price-quality bids for specific work and contract. Companies can apply throughout the DPS period, but are encouraged to do so immediately, as specific procurements will involve only pre-qualified suppliers.
Moreover, we would like to share the plan of upcoming tenders for design and design supervision services, and for construction works as well. Please find information here.
