I am happy to start as a new Commercial attaché in the Embassy of Lithuania to Finland after my colleague Mr. Audrius Masiulionis.

Finland is an important economic partner to Lithuania, in 2022 the trade between the countries amounted to EUR 2.1 Billion. The main Lithuanian exports to Finland were base metals and their products, plastics, and industrial products. The main goods imported from Finland were machinery and mechanical appliances, mineral, and chemical products. Finland remains one of the most important investors in manufacturing sector in Lithuania.

On the other hand, the Baltic States have almost doubled their GDPs in the last 10 years, collectively adding around EUR 68 Billion to their economic output, with Lithuania growing by EUR 33 Billion. Due to this growth the Baltic States are becoming more interesting markets to the Finnish companies as well. Therefore, the focus remains the promotion of bilateral trade in engineering and ICT industry goods and services, as well as investment support and development.

I have prior experience in international trade and investment, having worked in Lidl Poland purchasing as well as Invest Lithuania, investment promotion agency.

The best opportunity to meet are forthcoming events, where the Lithuanian delegations will participate:

  • 7–9 November 2023 – Teknologia Helsinki
  • 30 November – 1 December 2023 – Slush Helsinki
  • Looking forward to working together.
