Lithuania–Finland Advanced Electronics and Dual-Use Technologies Forum on March 24th 2026

A major defence industry event, the Lithuania–Finland Advanced Electronics and Dual-Use Technologies Forum, was held in Helsinki at Tanssin talo on 24 March 2026.
The Forum was officially opened by Mr Sakari Puisto, Minister of Economic Affairs of Finland, and Mr Taurimas Valys, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania. Their participation sent a strong signal of the deepening cooperation between Finland and Lithuania in advancing high‑tech, security‑driven innovation.

The event followed the Finnish–Lithuanian Forum on Defence Industry Hard Tech & High‑Tech Cooperation held in September last year, clearly highlighting the growing strategic importance of, and increasingly close collaboration between, the two countries in advanced electronics, defence technologies, and resilient supply chains. The Forum brought together approximately 150 participants representing industry, institutions, and other key stakeholders.
Sincere thanks go to the Embassy of Lithuania to Finland, and to H.E. Ambassador Edvilas Raudonikis, for hosting such a timely and forward‑looking afternoon featuring expert discussions with representatives from Nokia, Teltonika, Patria, Ellex Legal, PIA – Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries, and Invest Lithuania.

The closing remarks were delivered by Mr Risto Uusitalo, Chair of the Finland–Lithuania Business Association, who emphasized the strong momentum in Finland–Lithuania business relations and encouraged continued engagement between companies, institutions, and stakeholders in both countries.
The Forum was organised by the Embassy of Lithuania to Finland, with sponsorship from Ellex Legal, Ignitis Group, Progressive Business Solutions, Savcor, PIA – Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries’ Association, and the Finland–Lithuania Business Association. Speakers included: Ms. Tuija Karanko (PIA), Mr. Karol Mattila (Nokia), Mr. Giedrius Valuckas (Progressive Business Solutions), Mr. Arturas Ciuberkis (Teltonika), Mr. Kari Renko (Patria), Ms. Neringa Mickevičiūtė (Ellex Legal), Mr. Šarūnas Genys (Invest Lithuania) and Mr. Risto Uusitalo (Finland–Lithuania Business Association).
In addition, the Forum commemorated the Restoration of the Independence of Lithuania. The day concluded with a dance performance by Plalaforma Group, honouring H.M. Katarina Jagellonica — the Princess from Vilnius who later became the Duchess of Turku and Queen of Sweden in the 16th century.

A sincere thank you to all partners and sponsors for making this important and meaningful event possible.
