Today, on 5 December 2025, we were honoured to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Federation of Hong Kong Industries and the Finland–Hong Kong Business Association in Hong Kong.

The agreement was signed by Bonnie Chan, Director-General of FHKI, and Pertti Jalasvirta, Chairman of FHBA, in the presence of senior FHKI industrial leaders representing textiles, metals and machinery, sustainable fibres, the watch and clock industry and the wider GBA and PRD councils.

FHKI is one of Hong Kong’s four major chambers of commerce and the only statutory industrial chamber, representing more than 2 000 corporate members and 33 industry groups, from traditional manufacturing to advanced technology, ESG, innovation and new industrialisation. By partnering with FHKI, FHBA and our Nordic network gain a direct bridge into Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area industrial ecosystem, including Science Park, R&D and commercialisation platforms, and the ASEAN Council that connects Hong Kong to fast growing markets in Southeast Asia.

Through this MOU we will work together to create concrete opportunities for companies in both directions. The focus will be on industrial cooperation, green and digital transition, ESG and CBAM readiness, innovation and startup collaboration, and high level delegations between Finland, the Nordics, Hong Kong, the GBA and ASEAN.

We look forward to turning this agreement into practical projects, pilot cases and long term partnerships that benefit our members and strengthen Hong Kong’s role as a super connector between Asia and the Nordic region.
