Ambassador of Finland to the UAE Tuula Yrjölä and Business Finland together with H. E. Amna Fikri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Finland, have the pleasure to invite Finnish companies interested in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to a presentation of market opportunities, followed by an in-person discussion.

The event is co-organized by Business Finland, the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates to Finland, Finland Chamber of Commerce, the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Business Turku, World Trade Center Turku and Lahti Region Development Ladec Ltd.

With a strategic location, stable legal framework, and pro-business policies, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is one of the fastest-growing economies in the region, with an expected growth rate of 4% in the coming years. As one of the world’s top oil exporters, the UAE has accelerated its plans to diversify its economy away from hydrocarbons and attract foreign investment. Currently, non-oil GDP already represents over 70% of the total GDP contribution. The country boasts a young and rapidly growing population, projected to nearly double by 2040.

The UAE government has set ambitious goals for economic diversification across sectors such as finance, tourism, transportation and logistics, real estate, technology, manufacturing, and digitalization. Additionally, the UAE aims to become one of the most livable countries in the world by enhancing its already world-class infrastructure and leveraging technologies to improve the quality of life. As a regional trade and logistics hub, the UAE’s planned projects will further solidify its global position.

This dynamic environment offers vast opportunities for international companies across various sectors. However, successfully entering this market requires patience, dedication, a deep understanding of the local landscape, and strong networks—resources that smaller companies may find challenging to acquire on their own.

One of the goals of this event is to share information about the services and support available in the UAE to empower small Finnish companies to enter the market. During the event, you will have the opportunity to learn about the UAE market, government-driven strategic projects, key players, and business opportunities, with a particular focus on digitalization and mobility. In addition to HE Tuula Yrjöla, HE Amna Fikri, Business Finland’s UAE Senior Advisor Victoria Ivanova, will be present to discuss how we can help you boost your business in this competitive market.

We encourage companies of all sizes and maturity levels interested in gaining new insights, expanding to new markets, or needing assistance with their current business to participate in the event and establish valuable connections. Our aim is to provide practical advice and follow up with the necessary introductions.
