The Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) industry across the globe has witnessed considerable growth over the last decade. ICT is a key enabler for socio-economic progress & development, productivity enhancement, economic growth, poverty reduction and living standard improvement. ICT is increasingly revolutionizing production processes, access to markets and information sources together with social interactions.

Government of India has started Digital India, Make in India, Start Up India, Skill India etc., which are aimed at transforming India into digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The pace of technological change has created immense opportunities for the industry and its stakeholders. The growth and availability of affordable devices, availability of content on demand has given rise to a huge demand for data. The emergence of newer areas such as Internet of things, need for cyber-security given millions of connected devices has created immense opportunities for the industry.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India along with Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) and other stakeholders are hosting first edition of an international event India Mobile Congress-2017 (IMC-2017) from September 27-29, 2017 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The IMC 2017 is the first ever and single largest India event comprising of knowledge sharing, policy & regulatory readdressing, exhibition, awards, skill harmonization. It will be the flagship event which will bring together Governments, Industries, Associations, Academia, Start-ups, Entrepreneurs, Application Developers, Skill Promoters and other important stakeholders under one roof.

This is a rare opportunity to any country, their government and industry to be present in the event hosted by Government of India in partnership with the telecom operators and supported by all stakeholders like manufacturer, R&D, Academia etc.
