Jordan Chamber of Industry is pleased to announce the organization of the “Jordan-EU Business Forum: Buyers / Suppliers Matchmaking”, which will take place at Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof Hotel in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, from 2-3 November, 2017.

The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is an  important partner for Europe and Germany. Economic relations are stable, Jordan’s trade volume with the European Union amounts to more than € 4,4 billions annually. Besides 1,2 millions of refugees are currently seeking shelter in Jordan from ongoing conflict in Syria. The situation in the region led to a decline in Jordan’s trade relations with its traditional neighboring export markets. The European Union adopted the EU Jordan Compact in July 2016 to support the country in coping with the refugee crisis and intensifying trade between Jordan and the EU. A relaxation of the EU’s rules of origin offers Jordanian companies new opportunities to sell their products to the European market.

The “Jordan-EU Business Forum” in Frankfurt/Main aims at raising awareness about the new opportunities, in addition to promoting business and investment partnerships through offering bilateral meetings between Jordanian and European companies. It is being organized in cooperation with the Jordan Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, Jordan Investment Commission  the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce “The Forum for Technical & Administrative Development” and hey projects KG – Agent for developing, consulting and communication.
