Presentation & Sector wise Company Profiles for WEDF B2B Programme in Colombo, Sri Lanka
The“16th World Export Development Forum (WEDF)” 2016 is scheduled to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 12th to 13th October, 2016 under the theme of ‘Trade for Success: Connect, Compete, Change’.
World Export Development Forum (WEDF)
The World Export Development Forum (WEDF) is an annual flagship event of the International Trade Centre (ITC), Geneva which brings together around 400 business practitioners from around the world to debate and identify practical solutions that contribute to trade-led inclusive sustainable development.
WEDF provides an issue-focused setting for policymakers, trade support institutions and business leaders to gain practical understanding in trade competitiveness. It also provides unparalleled opportunities for business operators to network and meet with potential partners.
Organized by the ITC, the only United Nations organization with an exclusive focus on assisting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to internationalize, WEDF is dedicated to the development of SMEs.
Usually, the Forum is conducted for 2 days. Through a varied program, participants will increase their practical knowledge in the latest innovations, processes and policies, and establish new partnerships and contacts through networking.
WEDF 2016, Colombo, Sri Lanka
The WEDF 2016 is scheduled to be held at “The Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall”( BMICH ) in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 12th to 13th October 2016.
The WEDF 2016 will comprise 2-day conference on 12th and 13th October, 2016 with plenary and “In focus” sessions, “How-to” workshops and a B2B program.
A mini exhibition comprising 50 companies from most competitive and key product sectors in Sri Lanka, will also be organized as a side event with a view to showcase Sri Lankan businesses.
B2B programme
The facilitated business-to-business (B2B) meeting program would be the most sought after side event of WEDF. This will enable both Sri Lankan and foreign participants to explore new business opportunities for mutual benefit.
More than 100 Sri Lankan companies form the sectors of ICT, Tourism and Manufacturing are due to participate in B2B Programme.
