The Finland–India Business Association (FIBA) elected its new Board of Directors for the year 2026 at its Annual General Meeting held on 22 April 2026 in Helsinki.

Mr Chandan Chatarjee was elected Chair of the Board, and Mr Toomas Kalpio was elected Vice Chair. 

Chair, Mr Chatarjee is an executive with over 30 years of international experience in  technology business.  He is a board member of several international organisations. An investor in Start-ups, Mr Chatarjee mentors several scale-ups in AI and deep-tech.

Vice Chair Toomas Kalpio represents Cognizant Technology Solutions Finland bringing over 25 years of experience in digital IT services, including senior leadership roles in global operating environments engaging with customers from a broad range of industries driving cloud, AI, and digital transformation initiatives for global enterprises.

The other members elected to the Board are Risto Venermo, Heikki Autti (Dental Mammoth Oy), Sanjay Mehta (Nokia Oy), and Jukka Nuortio (Nordea Bank).

The newly elected Board represents a wide range of expertise from industry, finance, technology, and international business. Several Board members have long-standing, hands-on experience in working with India through commercial, financial, and strategic advisory roles.

In 2026, FIBA will actively support the Finland Chamber of Commerce delegation visit to Mumbai, scheduled for September 2026, further strengthening business ties between Finland and India. In addition, FIBA’s next member event will focus on supply chains and will be organized in May 2026. More information on the event program and registration will be announced shortly.

The Finland–India Business Association aims to strengthen trade and business relations between Finland and India, act as an active networking platform, and provide its members with up-to-date insights, events, and opportunities related to the Indian market.
