Finland and Latvia share numerous similarities. Ice hockey, for instance, is a leading sport in both nations. Additionally, the Latvian language includes several words that have the same meanings as those in Finnish, such as “maksāt” and “laiva.” These examples highlight the close relationship between Latvia and Finland, making it an excellent destination for Finnish companies looking to invest. As the new head of the Latvian Investment and Development Agency’s representative office, I aim to facilitate business opportunities for Finnish companies in Latvia and supporting Latvian companies in their endeavors in Finland.
