RIGA – Latvia’s contribution to the European Union’s (EU) budget have grown by EUR 1.3 million this year, according to information provided by the Finance Ministry. 

In 2020, Latvia’s contribution to the EU budget is EUR 317.34 million.

The Finance Ministry said that the European Commission this year announced several amendments to the bloc’s budget which changed the annual amount of Latvia’s contribution. The EU budget was amended mainly in connection with efforts to contain the Covid-19 pandemic.
