AMBASSADOR OF HUNGARY, UNKARIN SUURLÄHETTILÄS

Dear Partners,

The Embassy of Hungary in Helsinki and the Technology Industries of Finland will organise a webinar on “Security of supply chains – opportunities in Hungary” on 9th June 2020 at 11.00 hours.

The Covid-19 pandemic placed global supply chains under extreme pressure, resulting in increased uncertainties and losses for many companies. Re-evaluation of the resilience of supply chains and geographical diversification of procurement sources is a natural reply to these problems. Hungary is a lucrative alternative manufacturing/supplier country to Finnish companies in many industries.

The webinar will highlight much practical information and the underlying policies by a State Secretary of Ministry for Innovation and Technology. The CEO of the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency will inform you about the business opportunities in Hungary and the incentives provided during and after the corona crisis.

As a success story in relocation to Hungary, the CEO of Teknikum Oy from Sastamala will also speak about their experiences in Hungary. Teknikum Oy is 50 percent owner of the Hungarian T-Plastik Ltd. which has just received 750,000 euro subsidy from the Ministry for Affairs and Trade for its latest investment plan. Its aim is to relocate some production from China to Hungary.

During the webinar, questions can be presented to the speakers. Please send your questions to Róbert Kovács, foreign trade attaché of Embassy of Hungary (robert.kovacs ( a ) mfa.gov.hu) on 5th June 2020 as latest. Prompt questions will also be possible to present.

Please find enclosed the provisional programme of the webinar.

The webinar is organised through Microsoft Teams, the Hungarian Embassy will provide the interested companies with a link.

Please apply not later than on 5th June 2020 by sending an e-mail to: Róbert Kovács (Robert.Kovacs ( a ) mfa.gov.hu)
