South East Europe is steadily growing market, next to the other European markets where Finnish companies already have more business. During the year 2021, some countries in the region witnessed very high trade and investments levels. The expected economic growth for year 2022 is more than 4%. The region has competitive cost structure. Close proximity makes logistics reliable and cost efficient. The annual trade with Finland in the region is more than EUR 1 billion and Finnish companies employ about 10 000 people. In the coming years, EU’s Recovery and Resilience Facility funding for given countries will be about EUR 70 billion. EU’s funding to Western Balkans countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia) will be about EUR 30 billion. About € 9 billion is allocated in grants and financing of € 20 billion through Western Balkan Guarantee Facility.
What are the IPA III funding’s main sectors and timeline? What is covered through the Western Balkan Guarantee Facility? Which are emerging business opportunities for the Finnish companies and their partners? What Team Finland services are available in the region? These are some the topics which will be discussed in the webinar.
The event is co-organised by the Embassies of Finland in South East Europe, the Enterprise Europe Network, the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce, the Finland-Central Eastern European Countries Business Association and Business Finland.
The webinar will have presentations by different stakeholders to provide information about the IPA III funding opportunities.
Participants are invited to interact and send questions via chat throughout the event.
