Once peace returns – the EU and its Member States stand ready to support the reconstruction of a democratic Ukraine as part of wider international effort in coordination with partner countries, international organizations, and financial institutions.

Finland’s development cooperation in Ukraine improves the quality of education, increases energy security and climate resilience, and strengthens the rule of law.

Finnish companies have sought business opportunities in Ukraine in sectors such as agriculture and forestry, information technology, energy efficiency and waste management. Attention has also been paid to digitalization, transition to green energies and modernization of infrastructure.


Turkey is an important trade partner and one of the key emerging markets for Finland. In trade and economic sector, the focus areas are ICT, environment technologies, forestry, energy, and health.

The Memorandum of Understanding, signed by Turkey and Ukraine foresees a formation of a joint working group that will coordinate work to rebuild facilities of social and economic importance, including roads, bridges, water and electricity infrastructure, hospitals, and schools.

All these sectors mentioned – provide a wide range of possibilities for companies and creation of partnerships between Finnish, Ukrainian, and Turkish companies.


Finnish companies have a long history of cooperation with Ukrainian and Turkish businesses. This also applies Finnish, Ukrainian and Turkish Chambers of Commerce.

Finnish, Ukrainian and Turkish companies, and Chambers of Commerce have excellent opportunities to continue co-operation and help Ukraine to reconstruct its society and businesses.
